Learning From Failures

Failure is often god's own tool for carving some of the finest outlines in the character of his children

Failure has been wrongly branded by society. Failure is viewed as though it is the end of the world. But actually, it is God's way of giving you courage, inspiration and determination to rise up.

Albert Einstein never did well in hie school. His teachers were fed up with him. He was a very slow learner. This slow learner gave us the theory of relativity. It is regarded as one of the most complicated theories and the most difficult to comprehend. Einstein once said that there are only 12 living people who understand it although there are more than 900 books attempting to explain it. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for this theory. Years after his death, people marvel at a mind capable of producing such a theory.
A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner.
- Old English Proverb

Failure awakens the brilliance in us. We intend to take things more seriously. We give greater attention to the problem.
Many motivational speakers use the life story of Abraham Lincoln as a classic example of what a human being can achieve in the face of difficulties. When we read a story of Lincoln's life, we wonder how such a man could become one of the greatest American Presidents.
At the age of 7, his family was thrown out of the house and had to work.
At the age of 9, his mother died.
At the age of 22, he lost a job as a stores clerk. He couldn't go to law school.
At 23, he was in debt.
At 26, his business partner died and it took years for Lincoln to repay the debts.
At 41, he lost his four-year-old son.
At 45, he lost the Senate Elections.
At 47, he failed as the vice presidential candidate of his party.
At 49, he once again ran for the Senate and lost.

And at the age of 51, this man became the president of United States.
